Wales, May 2006
For the 1st of May bank holiday weekend we were invited to join a friend at her cottage in Wales. We stayed all the way at the end of the Llyn Peninsula near the town of Aberdaron, a longer drive than we ever expected to make in Britain! It was a lovely long weekend with plenty of sunshine and exercise, plus an interesting glimps of life as it used to be.
Croatia & Montenegro, October 2005
After all of the recent stresses in our life, Sharon and I really needed a break. Thankfully, one came in the form of a great holiday deal from lastminute.com.
Croatia and Montenegro were just what the doctor ordered!
Wales, July 2005
Two weeks after Paris, we ended up taking Heather to Wales also! I *love* living in Europe! We visited Cardiff and Abergavenny and just had a splendid time. Read about it here...
Paris, July 2005
Our youngest daughter, Heather, came to visit during July. Having never been to Paris, she was excited to visit the 'City of Lights' and finally get to see the Eiffel Tower, the Musee du Louvre, Notre Dame, and so much more!
In addition to the excitement of Paris, we had the exciting privilege of getting there on the Eurostar! Now, I'm sure that is nothing much to all of you big city slickers, but to us backwoods country types travelling under the sea by train was totally cool!
England/Scotland, September 2004
One of the first major vacations that we took after moving to London was a grand tour of Northern England and Scotland.
We were joined by Sharon's parents, Cecil and Martha, and we had a great time.
